There is a new number 1 at the top of the NFL jersey sales rankings. Beating Tom Brady for the first two places, Tua Tagovailoa absolutely dominates.
Dolphins rookie Tua Tagovailoa has the best-selling NFL jerseys
ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe reported on Monday that the Miami Dolphins rookie jerseys were selling like hot cakes. In fact, two variations of his new No.1 Dolphins jersey occupy the top two spots in the jersey sales rankings.
âThe Tagovailoa Aqua Dolphins Men’s Jersey has been # 1 seller for the past two weeks on NFLShop.com, and his white jersey arrives at # 2 Monday afternoon. Tagovailoa was arguably the most compelling story in the NFL Draft, and it created a huge buzz in South Florida and domestic markets. He decided last Tuesday to wear the number 1, becoming the first Dolphins quarterback to don the number.
Tagovailoa has a pretty big week. He signed his rookie contract (details here) on Monday morning, a day after buying his mother a brand new Cadillac Escalade for Mother’s Day.
The absolutely bonkers part about these Tagovailoa jersey sales is that the rookie might not even start for the Dolphins in 2020.
Given the exceptional hype surrounding this former Alabama star quarterback, however, the Dolphins may think they have no choice but to pitch him this season.
