Tom Brady isn’t just the GOAT on the pitch.
He is also king when it comes to selling jerseys. The New England Patriots quarterback ended the 2018 season with the best-selling jersey of any NFL player, according to a chart released Thursday by the NFL Shop.
Brady, a five-time Super Bowl champion and considered by many to be the greatest QB of all time, is no stranger to the top of jersey sales. It has been at or near the peak of sales numbers for much of the past decade and a half.
And it’s not just because of the New England area. According to NFL Shop data released in January 2018, Brady was king in the six states that make up New England, as well as New York, Florida, Indiana and Hawaii.
This information was particularly surprising given that rivals from the Patriots’ three divisions are found in New York, Buffalo and Miami.
Brady outscored several other superstar players to finish the 2018 season in the lead, including Chicago linebacker Khalil Mack’s favorite defensive player of the year, who finished second.
QB Chiefs Patrick Mahomes, RB Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott, RB Giants Saquan Barkley, Saints QB Drew Brees, Browns QB Baker Mayfield, Eagles QB Carson Wentz, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster rounded out the top 10.
Brady and the Patriots get a first-round pass of the 2018 playoffs. As the No.2 seed, they will host the AFC highest seed next weekend.
