Football Ole Miss enters the final week of October 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the SEC in preparation for facing the Auburn Tigers on the road this Saturday.

Coach Lane Kiffin met with members of the media on Monday about a tough environment on the road.

The Rebels come off a 31-17 victory over the LSU Tigers on Saturday.

“Really happy with the way our defense played and stopped the race,” said Kiffin.

Kiffin added that last week against Florida LSU had to handle the ball extremely well.

On their way to the Plains, the Rebels will begin another test drive.

“To hit the road for a third straight road game in a really tough place to play,” Kiffin said. “A night game which makes the task more difficult and stimulating for us. “

Auburn (5-2, 2-1 SEC) is led by quarterback Bo Nix who totaled 1,488 yards.

“(Nix) is running around and causing a lot of trouble for people,” Kiffin said.

The Tigers’ defense has held its own this season, allowing just 2,384 offensive yards in seven games. Auburn has yielded an average of just 19.71 points per game to his opponents.

“A defense that limited most of the time they played,” Kiffin said.

Ole Miss and Auburn will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.
