Liverpool and Bayern Munich target Karim Adeyemi scores her first career hat trick after playing just 45 minutes for RB Salzburg in the 5-0 win

If the sides weren’t already interested in signing Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg, they might be now, having scored his first career hat trick.

The 19-year-old hasn’t even started the game against fellow Austrian Bundesliga WSG Tirol, substituting in the second half to score three goals in a 5-0 win.

It won’t be the most sensational hat trick you’ve ever seen, with all of his strikes in and around the penalty area, but it shows that he clearly knows where the back of the net is.

He now has 14 league goals this season, helping Salzburg take first place in their domestic division and also in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Liverpool, along with German duo Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, are said to be interested in the youngster, who has a contract at Salzburg until 2024.

However, speaking after the game, the forward says he is fully focused on his current club.

“As is so often the case, nothing is decided yet and, as I said, I will also be in Salzburg next year, and that is what I am focusing on,” said Adeyemi.

“Like I said, I don’t have any tendencies,” he said when asked about a possible transfer.

“My mind is here in Salzburg and I look forward to the Champions League with Salzburg. We want to give our all there.

Adeyemi would not be the first player to come out of Salzburg and get caught by Liverpool.

The Austrian champions also helped Reds duo Sadio Mane and Naby Keita early in their careers.

Meanwhile, Takumi Minamino joined the Salzburg Reds in 2019 after catching Jurgen Klopp’s attention in a Champions League group stage clash.
