The Harvest House of Hope is gearing up for its annual golf tournament fundraiser, scheduled for Friday, July 15, at Crooked Oak Golf Club in Colquitt. According to board member Cissie Franklin, this is their biggest fundraiser of the year. “We would appreciate your support in any way,” she said.
Several items are raffled off and auctioned off as part of the fundraiser, including a soccer ball signed by Kirby Smart, a four-man hunt in Southwind, and a deep-sea fishing trip from Port St. Joe. . All funds raised are intended to support the Harvest House.
Franklin told the Post-Searchlight that 144 people participated in last year’s tournament, eventually raising enough money to install new flooring in the building. There are currently 22 four-man teams registered to compete this year, with a cap of 36 teams. Registration is $50.00 per person; sponsorships and donations are also an acceptable way to support Harvest House. There are two departures, 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; registration for these is at 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., respectively, with lunch also at noon.
