Greg Stewart scores stunning half-hour hat-trick as ex-Rangers striker catches fire in India

Greg Stewart announced his arrival in India with a superb half-hour treble last night.

The former Dundee, Aberdeen and Rangers striker moved to Jamshedpur this summer after leaving Ibrox under contract freedom.

And after a goal in his first five appearances, the 31-year-old caught fire against Odisha FC with a stunning hat-trick in a 4-0 win for his club.

Stewart made it 2-0 against Jamshedpur after less than four minutes with a magnificent curling strike to his weaker right foot.

He then completed a free kick in the 20th minute to make it 3-0 for the visitors.

The right foot was reused four minutes later, shooting low in front of the keeper to cap off an incredible performance in the first half.

The convincing victory sent Jamshedpur second in the Indian Super League.

Stewart made 33 appearances in total for the Rangers, scoring three goals and walking away with the Scottish Premiership winners’ medal.
